    This little guy was wandering about just waiting to get a picture taken. 50D, 70/200 f/4 at 200mm, f/4. 1/60, ISO400 and since he was moving about A1 Servo mode.

    Hi Dave,
    I like the close up capture. you have sharp details and good color rendition. The composition looks a little odd. I cropped tighter, added canvas to the right of the frame in the direction that your subject is looking into, cropped 1/4 from the top. boosted contrast and saturation, and selective sharpened the eye...:cool: looking forward to your next one...:)

    you did really well to get him that sharp at those settings!! might consider bumping the ISO next time to make sure you get the shutter speed. gus' repost takes it over the top for me!

    Dave I like the detail in the beak!-I love shooting w/ the 70-200, it's one of my favorites.I think you got alot of detail and your colors look good- the tighter crop looks good

    Tighter crop it is! Now when I look at the first post it seems like the bird is about to topple over---top heavy.
