    Default European Kestrel

    Hi There

Weather was pretty poor this weekend but I ventured out to HCT here in the UK to try my luck anyway, as you never know what opportunities might present themselves.

Had the ISO cranked up to 3200 as it was so dark, but managed to capture this shot of "Marley" the Kestrel as he took a short break in one of the trees at the side of the flying ground. Was happy to get the shot and the noise even at ISO 3200 is pretty well controlled on the MKIII.

Wow.....what a clean image for that ISO. There's some very nice detail.....just wish for a lower angle but hey.......this one's certainly a keeper. Well done.

Excellent shot under those conditions, lovely colours and corp, beautiful sharpness. I find the overall image just a touch dark though, maybe that's a result of the high ISO?

Hi John - great image for the very high ISO - don't you just love the MKIII? I love the bright orange feet!!

    Cheers,
