    Default Bringing home a bite

    This osprey had eating the head off the fish and then brought it back to the nest for it's mate to grab a bite before leaving with the fish again.


    At the Everglades using D2H w 600/4 and 14x. f5.6@1/4000, iso 320

    The photo really tells a story! As presented the birds are a little small in the frame and also too centered for my taste. Here's a repost in which I played around with Shadows & Highlights, did some additional sharpening, and recropped. How do you like it?

    I like the interaction and the lightened chest in the repost improves the image, although there is a S/H halo now. Softer light would have helped in this situation.
