Default Thanksgiving - The family patriarch

Using my 70-200 2.8 as a portrait lens at Thanksgiving this year - Got this shot of my uncle - and am just SO tickled with the lens I just had to share it (of course, he made quite a good model, too). I did shoot this in JPG - I changed the quality mode before I went to my mother's, thinking I wouldn't want to do a lot of Post Processing. But I do wish I'd shot RAW - some of the pictures came out quite worthy of spending some time on them....

This is full frame - and captures my outdoorsman uncle and his playful spirit just right....

A fine capture indeed Amy. Your uncle looks cool, calm, and collective. Thanks for sharing...

Great expression in this image amy and the 70 to 200 is an excellent lens to capture the natural look. I use it when photographing children as they are then unaware that they are being photographed and you can catch a glimpse into their personality. Great work and thanks for sharing.
