    Taken last weekend in a rural heavy wooded Oak are in central Minnesota.



    Nikon D300 ~ ISO 1250 ~ 1/1250 sec ~ F/2.8

    Hey Mike,
    Although the winds may look better if totally stretched, the combination of light, background and habitat make this one a very good looking image, love the slight blur on the wingtips and the look of concentration of the bird. Well done!

    This just pops from the BG Mike, and such a great contrast in colours makes the goshawk stand out even more. I like intense look from the eyes. Very well captured.

    Love the BG and intense look. The better defined vegetation below the bird is nice too. I would clone out the one bright speck down form the tip of the beak.

    Great capture of a a goshhawk flying against a beautifull BG. Which focal lenght did you used here? Is this a big crop? (just curiosity)

    Hi Juan, zippo on the crop and it was with the Nikkor 300mm F/2.8 wide open with a 1.4X TC attached.
