Default Motif: A pintail dreaming in water

    Attached Images Attached Images

D300 200-400@400mm on tripod. Manual exposure mode, no flash. ISO800 f4 1/800 sec.

It's the same Northern Pintail in my previous experimental image. Cropped more this time. Background is water as is. Tweaked colors and sharpness.

    C&C welcome and appreciated !!

Desmond. In my limited experience, I think you have a keeper in this one. Everything about it is solid. Sharpness, details, background and composition.
    I like it very much.
    Big time congrats,

Very good sharp feather details, good color rendition. The close up pose just sets it off. I like the eye contact with the catch light. and the semi liquefied pale background compliments your duck well...good show Desmond...well done...print it and hang it up...:)

Got a keeper Desmond Fully agree with comments The one thing that could be altered is the dark brown up top? Not sure how everyone feels about it but seems to catch attention a bit ! Strong and beautiful image !!!

Beautiful desmond - sharp - well exposed and fantastic details - would evict the dark stripe across the top.

    well done :)

I agree that this is another keeper. But then the Northern Pintail is one of my favorite waterfowl (smile)
    Well done

I have done nothing to the water other than tweaking the colors. What you see is what I have on film/sensor. I have seen other photos here at BPN with the same kind of water background before. No pp tricks needed whatsoever.

    Thanks folks !!
