    Photographed this morning in dim light, northern NY State, Canon 300mm F2.8 x 2 from car, no flash, minor crop, owl was along side of road.

    Are those traces of blood on the plumage? Very cool! Speaking of "cool", I find the blue cast on the bird should be toned down. In this case I simply used saturation and reduced the blue channel by 65 points.
