Default Young White Tail wants an Apple

While out with Danial Cadieux last weekend for White Tails, we never expected them to be so acclimated to human presence, all though we didn't see a buck there that day the fawns and does kept us quite busy. Here a young one had approached me and after sniffing me and realizing that I didn't have any treats for her , she moved on... taken with 20D with 200 F/2.8L, F/8.0 @ 1/200 sec, ISO 800, manual exposure, not cropped full frame from 6 feet away

    Wayne,
The eyes make the image. Interesting expression, which really makes you to sit up and notice.

I like the sharpness and details in this image. The background is thrown uniformly out of focus and brings our attention to the face. I wish you were a bit to the right. That would have enabled you to just get the head and neck without the body. I cropped this image, but could not do it tighter leaving a bit of the back.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

I love the expression on this one and the tighter crop really works for me. The one thing I find distracting is that the front ear is so OOF. Maybe f11 or f16 would have helped you get a better nose-to-ear sharpness?

    Wayne,

I like the unusual expression and posture. I like Sabyasachi crop and agree with Julie on the ear. Thanks for posting.

Nice shot! I like the tight crop and the eye contact.
