    Hi Denise

Interesting but not sure I can get into this one? Can't get my eye to focus and lock on any one part, good looking bird, interesting look and reflection. Maybe looser framing to see circles develop and focus in on the bird. Interesting to see how others feel !!!

Alfred, I tried a looser frame he seems to get lost even more- do you think I should do just a head and face reflection? I like the monochromatic feel and reflection and would like to work this one out.

Hi Denise, I like what you are trying to do here. I would try lightening the whole image, lighten the eye again and sharpen, darken the pupil if looks better Clone out the bit on the water beside the beak and see how it looks. My .02.

I like the pano composition Lady Denise. It needs more contrast, Lady Jackie's repost is a big improvement, especially on the eye. Taking the repost, I would just increase saturation on the water only...just a tad, not too much...:) I like your low capture angle and the soft whites on your subject...good show...

I think Jackie's repost certainly improved. Gus's suggestion is definitely worth a try, too. The main issue I have is the pose of the bird. I think it is not the best that the bird could have :)

    Hi D:
I do agree with Gus regarding the contrast. But as a whole I like the image, maybe a little more of a head turn would have made it more appealing to the rest.
    Regards,

Repost is a improvement - think desmond hit the nail on the head - the pose just is not very flattering to the bird - sort of looks like a avian sausage dog.
Did well with the exposure and details.

Hi Denise - not a comment on your picture taking abilities - just thought the bird looks stretched out due to the angle and/or pose-- didn't mean to offend.
