    Well done with this one, Marc. Focus and DOF perfect and your flash has helped open up the dark areas. Pose and head angle with prey is great. I would be tempted to try a version with a sliver off the bottom and maybe even some off the top to give a squarish crop. I think a lower angle to blur out the BG more would only have introduced more obstructing foreground grass but it would be nice to smooth out the background a little. I like the incurving blade of grass on the left but find the big OOF green one in the BG a bit dominant and would probably tidy up the bright and criss-crossed strands between the legs. Good capture.

    Love it as presented! Great detail and pose, head angle and prey is a big plus! BG/ambient are a bit bussy but I don't find them THAT distracting. Congratulations!
