    Default Hooded Merganser

    Subjects moving straight at you are always a difficult shot for me.
    I never shoot over ISO 400, but this early morning duck gave me the
    opportunity to try something new.
    The crop is tight, but I have additional room in all directions.

    Hi Tom Glad you decided to raise the ISO !!! Nothing wrong with it !!!

    I like the strong reflection and eye contact That smooth water up front sure looks good. Would give more room particularly to the sides and some to the bottom. Would like seeing some of the water being displaced to the sides !!! Excellent image !!!

    I wish I could see one of those birds from this close. Very nice picture. I agree with the crop recommendation.
