    Hi Mike,
    I like the composition as far as the placement of the bird in frame. I like the diagonal perch. I modified your composition to show you a much cleaner background without the out of focus intersecting branches touching your bird, I also ran noise reduction, increased saturation and contrast a tad...

    Agree with you on the beauty of these gals !!!

    Excellent repost Gus Difficult to make that bg smooth and looking semi natural Did very well !!!

    Mike you got the framing, bird placement, exposure and sharpness looking good. Pose wise you always want that head square if possible. The original bg is not bad, would only try to move so the beak would not intercept the branch. I like what your doing !!!

    thanks again. that picture never looked so good Gus. i guess i really should stick with putting in my own bg, the one you gave makes all the difference in the world. the extra sharpening makes for good show too,, i am always afraid to over sharpen. when i looked 2nd time i get a bit envious because you got a mottled bg. something i'm going to have to get some practice at.
