    Dany,
This is a lovely image. I like the colours and details in this image. I guess there are some reeds at the back, but they don't bother me as it nearly blends with the bg. The snow adds to the environment.
    Cheers,

Excellent one...the touch of snow adds alot to this! I'm thinking cropping out the BG below the perch would strenghten this already good photograph :-)

Agree with previous comments, outstanding image! The colour, light quality and sharpness are very nice. I am wondering how you processed the image for noise. I'm finding that for high ISO images RAW on the 50D, running through DPP with in-camera NR set to Standard does a better job than what you can accomplish in ACR. I can see some noise in the head and eye of the bird but I think this could be reduced without losing IQ and sharpness.

I like this a lot, Dany. A agree with Dan's crop suggestion. I really like the warm colours but find it a bit incongruous with the snow. All the whites (including the snow) show a dominance in the red channel. How does this neutralised version look? Not sure why the upload process has mashed the file size down so much.

Hey Tony...The picture is taken is low november-sun a few days ago...The snow is transparent or the background (reed) shines true.

distance is to the limit of the lens focuspoint (3,5m), and the warm light was very short that day..

Still, I was satisfied with the results...

your neutrilased version is looking very green on my tft-screen, also..the details are missing:(

That's cool, Dany. You were there and know what you saw. The details have gone due to the upload bug that compressed the file size too much - I tried 3 times to upload the full 170K file but it was compressed each time.
