    Well - what to do when the elements are against you - sun behind my subject - wind blowing the wrong way - couldnt get on the other side - so made a high key shot instead.

    D3
    Nikon 300mm F.28 WITH 1.7 Converter
    1/1000TH
    F5.6
    +2.0EV
    640 ISO - Al note HIGHER ISO
    Handheld

    Cropped and sharpened - added some contrast - other little tweaks.

    Could have a thin border around the shot.

    Lance, you have a very good way of handling the feathers. They just look marvellous !

    You certainly made the best of a bad situation! The colors and details are very nice and the pose is fantastic!

    Excellent Lance,
    The raised foot takes this one over the top in my book. The sharp details and color rendition is dead on the head angle and eye contact are in check...very well done...:):cool:

    Excellent high key image Lance ...... and what a bird !!! Normally I don't like steep angle image but this is just fine for me !!! Big Congrats !!!
