This one has been a real pain to straighten and I'm still not sure I've got it right!

Laying on my belly for this one. It's interesting to see just how much difference the angle makes to the feel of the image compared to the recent coot and tufted duck shots I posted which were shot kneeling down and crouched respectively.

    40D + 400mm DO + 1.4TC. ISO 400. f5.6 @ 1/320 sec. Aperture Priority. Evaluative metering. +/- 0 ec.

    C&C, as always appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Sean

BRAVO!!! you did REALLY great here! i think i can help you with straightening here. there's enough of a reflection that you can see the tip of the bill in the reflection. pull your leveling tool from tip to tip and this will level it!!

    I like the composition Sean.
The colors are great and the details are sharp. I like the eye contact...well done. You also have a good reflection. Good advise given by Doctor Davis...

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...be safe and God bless...:)

    Looking good Sean !!!

Great tip from Harold Just find the same point I like going for eyeballs !!!

This is sort of funny ... with sweet looking water like this one you also want to photograph from a higher angle :) Do like the low angle, these do have a special feel !!! Good light angle on the duck maybe just of to the left a bit, you want even to light up the green head !!!

PS wise you can always tweak the water and increase the contrast a bit I like this image a lot !!!
