    I photographed this anhinga at Wacodahatchee last February. Before the HAP get too excited, let me just say up front that given the overall orientation of the bird, I kind of like this head angle. Of course, other opinions are welcome. :) 20D, 500 f/4, 1/1000, f/8, ISO 400. I removed some sticks and branches to improve the composition.

    Steve in this one the bird seems to be looking at something so its fine .... that said just imagine the same bird with the head angle and eye contact ... !!!

    I like the pose and clean bg !! Beautiful bird in breeding plumage !!!

    Beautiful plumage detail and light. Darkening the blue BG a little may add to the image, I think the yellow tones from the warm light would work well with a deeper blue - should be an easy selection with colour range and then a play with curves to see if it adds anything. I'm away from a machine with PS or I would give it a try
