    Hi Darren,
Nice feather detail and sweet light. Wish I had a picture like this in my collection. You did a good job keeping steady with the 700mm. I have the same setup but almost always need the tripod for steady shots. Hope to see some of these guys out on the west coast this winter but I'm not sure if the irruption is only taking place out east or not yet. No reports yet but I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

    Take care,

    Steve Large

Superb image Darren, the light is wonderful and sweet and I am crazy for that semiopened yellow eyes with a neat eye catch. the pose is nice and the Bg is to die for. Big congratulations for an excelent capture..

A stunning image, Darren. The light is beautiful, as is the background, and the bird is posing very nicely for you. I like it that the bird is looking at something off your right shoulder instead of directly at you.

Just my opinion, but I think a vertical crop would look much nicer.

Gotta love that light! Sweet image, with great detail and BG. I think the vertical might work even better.

Sweet light, and love the two tone colours in the BG. I think the detail in this is simply superb. Congrats on an outstanding image.
