    A Juvenile Spotted Eagle Owl taken in our garden. After spending most of the afternoon perched on a tree in extreme shadows, it flew and sat on our stoop area, unfortunately ot was by then rather dark.

    Great opportunity this young owl gave you!! I don't mind the tight crop, but wish you had left more room above. Another round of USM would be benificial too (handholding at that focal lenght combined with that shutter speed most likely equals some softness).

    This is actually a full frame, I was no more than 5 metres away. I agree it needs more sharpening!

    Great close-up portarit of this young owl. I agree with Daniel about the need for mor room at the top of the frame

    Love those eyes! Wish for a bit more of DOF to get the plumage in better focus, and I'd probably have done this one vertical.
