My version of a Red Shoulder Hawk from yesterday at Corckscrew Sanctuary. This guy had just caught a frog and was waiting for the right moment to start his lunch. I have my bail money ready for the HA police. But this was the best shot I could take from the angle I had due to the number of visitors watching this guy.

    Nikon D300, 300mm w/ 1.4 tc, 420mm, F4, 1/320, ISO 400, Aperture Priority, Exposure Comp - 1/3, Tripod used.

Hi Oscar - Love the lighting and the fantastic sharp details Not crazy about the angle of capture but sometimes you take what you can get. :)

Head angle is not that bad Oscar ... but hand on to the bail money :) Could use a little head tilt .... head tilt police got you .. hand over the money :)

Really like the clean bg It is some kind of difficult coming up with one at the Swamp !!! Try selecting the eye and enhancing a bit !!!

Nice capture. I like the closeness and don't mind the angle at all. The blue BG is a nice complement to the bird. Well done.

    Hi Oscar,
I like the colors on the bird and the blue background. The eye is sharp and the details in the feathers are nice and crisp. I don't have any passes to get out of jail...the HA Police are looking at you; but thats ok, You can slide this time...I told them that you were going to do much better on this point...:D
