    This image has been cropped quite a bit, but I think the result is a better image. Nikon D2X, 500mm f/4 lens, f/6.3 @ 1/2500, ISO 400, manual mode, 3-D metering. Hope you like this and please give me any opinions as that is the only way I can learn. Thanks ahead of time!

    Hi Wheeler,

    Great eye contact en expression you captured.
    We have to be careful when cropping too much because the loss of detail begins to be apparent as it is here in the dark feathers.

    You r composition works, but if you were to print this, it may not look too good due to the extreme crop.

    I think you may have overdone the crop, Wheeler. It is also very noisy but I quite like the pose.

    Nice direct expression and your composition is fine. Unfortunately, the extreme crop has brought out a lot of noise and makes the image appear soft. I'd like to see the original image.
