    Default Green Heron....painted

Not really painted, but been subjected to Topaz Simlify and Adjust, Lucisart, and CS2 filters.
Mostly a play to try blending modes/opacity.

Not for everyone, but a good learning experience.
Thanks for looking in and commenting

Well, it is for me :)
I love the painterly look and texture, you did a great job with the filters.

Great job Dave! I would prefer a bit more saturation in the colors though. In the repost, I produced a dupe layer, blended with a color burn at 25% opacity. I had to post it to see how it compared to your original post. I see them both and I like them both, but the "tooth" of the paper is too prominent on my repost:o Good stuff though:D

    thanks Fabs and Dan
Like the color in the repost, but think in this application it loses the translucency a bit, but that's a matter of taste only....very much appreciate the slightly different look

    Have a great Thanksgiving all

here is a different look to same image

I like all three versions Dave but think that the original is the best. There's something about the painterly look that has the feathers feeling almost real to me. I think you did a wonderful job with it.

Both have a different look and it would be a mater of preference !!!! What attracts me the most is the texture !!! Fine image !!!

    Dave,
I keep coming back to look at this again - a good indication that I REALLY like it. Your first post is my favorite (the original image was excellent, too). Really has a watercolor look to it. The finishing touch would be to print it on watercolor paper. Great work!

The first post is my favorite also. You really captured that watercolor look...even the watercolor paper backround. Nice job...
