This is a pre dawn shot of large White-tail buck in tall prairie grass with fall foliage behind in
Wichita Ntl. Wildlife Refuge, Ok. This was not planned and settings are from landscape shooting the night before. Very little post processing was done with minimal crop leaving the grass and fall colors behind. I did tone down red tint from pre dawn light.

It's really lovely, Charles. The deer seems OOF because of the camoflage of the grass and that really makes this extra nice. I wonder if you tried this as a sepia print or if you tried to add a painted filter to it at all? I think both options might give you a whole other feel to it. I love it as presented, though.

I really like the soft look of this image, even the covered face adds to the allure of the camouflage.
It would be great to try artistic filters on it.

Love the overall feel Chas By any chance do you have another in the same position with a different setting, higher shutter speed? Was thinking in borrowing the face and pasting over this one. Just a hint of sharpness/detail would be so interesting !!! Love this image Got a keeper !!!
