    here is the blue jay photo i was telling you about. i worked for 2 hrs. in ps to get it where it is. pls let me know if it looks pasted in or other bad things about the picture.:o

    Hi Mike still doing well Don't see any bad aftereffects from the PS work which is usually the case when you have to go at it so long. For most of my images I don't spend more than a couple of minutes. Best to take all your time before pushing the shutter.

    The image is well exposed and sharp, you did get the center point on the bird. The bg is busy but pleasing and I like it. It does show the environment without being a detractor !!! Might have place the bird slightly lower in frame ( a tad) but overall looks good !!!

    ..... btw just though if you would have spend the time making the image rather than in PS you might have frozen :)

    Mike, I like how you were trying for the natural backgrounds. I think that would be the way to go.

    thanks guys, especially you Alfred. i depend on you all for solid advice and have gotten that all the way.
    i got a brown creeper today and will work on it tonight. he's a real little guy, about the size of a small sparrow.
    took about 20 shots and got 1 that might be ok in your eyes. see you tomorrow.

    Hi Mike,
    I like the composition, image and capture. I like it as presented. I'm fine with the background, it shows the natural habitat...congrats...:cool:
