Black Oystercatcher again!

I was thrilled to find some black oyster catchers this afternoon. It had been a long time since I had seen them.
I caught some good late afternoon sun, and the birds were fairly tolerant of me before they flew off.

You got some rare good light this time of year and made good use of it! I live just a little south of you in Auburn so I know how fleeting it can be:(. Exposure looks great as well as detail. Nice image!

Lovely low angle, light and pose. Good detail in the dark plumage. Bill worn very square at the tip in this individual.
