    Default Curious young Whitetail

First off, thanks to Stephen Stephen for the tip on this great location.:) Hands-down the best Ottawa area location for wild deer photography. I was hoping for a big buck that has frequented the area, but a couple of young ones were way too sweet to pass up.

Canon 40D + 100-400L @260mm, aperture priority, eval metering, 1/200s., f/6.3, ISO 640, no EC, natural light, handheld - kneeling to go down to eye-level.

Nice shot Daniel! Like the rich colors and the eye contact as well. Great comp as well.

Excellent detail and colors. Probably coming down a hill but I'd straighten out the slight lean.

    Daniel,
I like the perspective. Lot of details in the image. A nice sighting. The young ones are always more fun to watch.
    Cheers,

Excellent sharpness and the vertical crop works well here, Daniel. This has the feel of early winter with the light skiff of snow on the ground. Well done.

Great image here Dan. I love the eye contact. We'll have to make a concerted plan to try and find the biggest buck next fall! :D

Love the pic Daniel. If you're still looking for a good buck, give Jackpine Trail a visit. There's a good looking buck visiting the feeders there!
