Expertly composed, clean and sharp. Lots of detail in the plumage. Maybe a bit of head turn your way.

    Definitely a winner :)

Very clean and sharp, I like the head position as is. Maybe a tiny bit off the top, Well done.

Top notch--great composition! Just a bit off of the top for me as well.

This is excellent. As mentioned the comp is superb. I would just run some selective noise removal on the BG.

Where exactly was this taken? I am headed down there in a few weeks to McAllen for a conference and would LOVE to get this species (shoot me an email if you have time :))

A lovely image, my only real nit are the weird stripes in the BG in the LR corner. You could do something about the noise, but IMO it is not that big of a deal and in this shot is more of a personal thing.

    Hi Ivan -

Beautiful pose, perch and background expertly captured. You might consider getting rid of the oof grass stem in the lower right corner. It is so faint that until Krijn mentioned it above, I thought it was just a smudge on my usual not-so-clean computer screen.
A minor nit. This is a lovely image.

    Best regards,
