Default Piping Plover in the surf line

    BPN,

Here is a piping plover found yesterday morning at Ft. Desoto. Ft. D is an essential wintering grounds for these threatend little shorebirds. Luckily the beach in pretty isolated this time of year so they can forage in peace. Not much else was going on, saw a couple of wilson plovers, no snowies though.

Excellent pose and sharpness! Nice light too. I might remove the specular highlights on the bird's left leg.

I think you could darken the image just a tad ( 1/3 stop or so ). Nice classic plover pose, low angle looks good, and I like the uncluttered BG and clean surroundings (especially love the bubbles).

This is wonderful Chad. Love the clean background, the thin strip of sand in focus with bubbles, and of course the sharp bird. Really well done.

Full frame! Great shot, light and pose, compo and detail, exposure control and BG are outstanding, and a full frame of these little guys is not an easy task at all. Congratulations!

Great angle, details and setting. I would remove the specular highlights on the bill.
