First flight for this baby mouse-bird. Unfortunately, they always use the telephone line to grab onto in wind but thought it cute anyway. Dad was also there but had to be cloned out as I couldn't get his tail in as well.

Wonderful pose of the 2 birds. The birds do seem a tad dark on my monitor as well.

    Thanks for comments.
It is pretty overcast; I don't think my flash would reach them (need to get a beamer) and as soon as I lift exposure in ACR the crests show overexposed - advice?

Is this better? - have added a warming filter, lightened on adjustment layer and then added contrast.

    Hi Jeni,
I lightened the birds with the exposure brush in CS4 and just sharpened around the head/eye area. Just to see if this looks any better for you.

    Hi Jeni,
I like the composition. I would add a tad of canvas to the left and at the bottom; that tail is super tight in frame...
