Very nice Jackie, It reminds me of Up State New York. I like the cold crystal clear rushing water of the stream; with the added compliment of the snow. How cold is it there now?

Around -10 degrees celsius. Think that is around 14 F. You have to be really motivated to get out and shoot!

I use to do it all the time. Had to be careful about the lens getting fogged up, taking the camera from warm to cold...I remember those days...:D:cool:

Hi Jackie, I love hiking in the mountains w/ snow . The air always seems so clear and fresh. I like how the light is coming thru on the right top to give a little bit of color to the scene. The snow in the fg adds to the scene.

Brrrr, it makes me feel cold just looking at it. I like the three bands of interest, snow in the foreground, river in the middle and colourful forest in the back.

    Cheers.

Must have been a nice hike Jackie Getting a sensory overload thinking about it !!!

Strong composition and accurate framing Might lighten the water just a bit but not so much as to alter the mood !!! Excellent !!

Tried to cross the creek in my neos, and would have done it but had to think about my camera. Wanted the falls on the other side, but thought better of it after getting around 1/3 of the way through. So I had to make the best of it from the other bank. Covered in mud BTW after the end of it. Who said photography isn't fun! :)

Really nice comp on this. Lots to look at and good details throughout. The only thing I don't love is the color of the water. If you could have gotten it in a more crystal blue that would have popped this one right over the top. Against the red of the trees and the blue cast to the snow it would have rocked.

Thanks for the comment Julie, the water was really this colour, don't know what made it the sort of yellowy-green. The falls were a nicer colour on the other side. I will go back when it is a little drier and try to get the falls, they were more bluish.

Love the composition Jackie. Don't know if I could hike with all that cold weather.
    Regards,
