I kept hoping for a motif image of some birds on water , but no luck so far. This is an image of the shore of Kootenay Lake at Kaslo. Mostly we were there to walk the dogs, and grabbed this image.
    Comments and suggestion much appreciated

Very nice image and composition Gail,
I like the line of rocks on the right leading toward the ocean. I like the tones and hues of blues...

Hi Gail I know you are trying to get water for the motif but in this one would crop some from the top. So much water looses proportion. Water by itself might not be bad with that texture !!!

Gail, I think this is nice. I agree w/ Alfred about cropping. I think it will bring your eye into the main focus which is all those beautiful pattern and textures.

You look like you live in a beautiful place Gail. I like the little bits of kelp giving it just an accent of colour. It is serene to me too, maybe cropping would improve it?

Thanks for the suggestions and comments. I think the crop suggestion is a good one. And it is a beautiful part of the world.
    Cheers
