    Default Poised to pounce

Going through some old images, was one taken on my old Olympus. This is "Shangwa" a female Leopard that was often seen around Leopard Hills lodge, where my wife and I had our wedding & honeymoon.
I quite like the background lighting with the chest and whiskers nicely rim lit. Front lighting via spot light from vehicle.

    Marc,

I quite like the backlite too. I am assuming some fill-flash and that worked out good for you.

    Marc,
Lovely background. Nice use of flash. The rim light strengthens the image many fold. I like this image.

Beautiful image... You can feel the tension. I love the BG colors and the rim light, as Sabyasachi says puts it over the top. It's hard for me to imagine seeing ones of these big cats in the wild and what that would feel like.

Absolutely fantastic image. Liked everything about it - the front light (& the natural rim light) on the leopard, the sky, the tree branches curving in from top, the leaning pose with its legs clawed on the tree trunk...
    :)
