Last one of the flight series - Sandhill Crane - S.W Florida

I have several other flight images but this one will end the flight series. What I really like about this image is the "fly by" peaceful feeling to it, not to mention the beautiful warm light, eye contact, colorful BG and wings position.

I hope you enjoyed the series. Its now time to post the ground images staring with "The Dance"

    Hope you like it!

    Canon 40D, 500mm L @ f/5.6, 1/800 sec, ISO 400, RAW, Tripod, almost full frame.

    Thanks!

I've seen these birds in maybe ten different places around South Florida, but never seen one fly. Once I saw three walking along the shoulder of I-75. You must know a great place, or know something about their behaviour.

Superb angle of flight, and love the light and colours in this. I have enjoyed your series tremendously. Well done Maxis.

I like your crane series Maxis. Funny but I've never seen a crane against a green BG before.
