    Default Resting Rutting Buck

    40D, 1-400L @ 350mm, f5.6, 1/80s, ISO 3200. Slight crop for comp and leveling.

    Pretty amazing for ISO 3200. I like the colors and surrounding vegetation.

    It is amazing to know you could get away with that high of an ISO. I wonder if maybe your color balance isn't a bit off as the grass and the deer's fur looks a bit on the red side?

    Other then removing some red from the color cast, this is a stellar looking image Steve. Nice work.

    Steve,
    This is a superb image. I love the background a lot. The grass, the coloured vegetation and the horns of the resting buck gives a very nice feel. I agree about the colour cast and it can be removed in pp. ISO 3200 is mind boggling.

    Beautiful buck and image Steve... He looks tuckered out. The rack would've been lost I bet in the surrounding grasses had you not framed him in front of the cedar.

    ISO 3200 and 1/40... Nice to see what our 40D/100-400 combos are truly capable of!
