Lovely colours and wing position. I love the ripple reflections up under the wing. Looks very smooth ?a little much NR or maybe the bird was a bit soft in the original capture (plane of focus looks maximal on the far wing) but significant sharpening halos around the edges. That's a really intense eye.

Agreed the sharpening halos are a bit much, but other than that, I really like it.
here's the original version..no sharpening added!..grtz!

Repost looks good, Dany. Did you shoot this as a RAW or JPG? If RAW what conversion did you use? The smooth, soft appearance must just be the unique Bittern plumage.

I like version 2 best Dany. Version 3 has lost some saturation. There is unfotunately no "right" - only what looks best to you and we are all different :D. My comment regarding the plumage wasn't a criticism of your image. Bittern plumage is fairly unique and as a result the demand for Bittern plumage for tying fishing flies in NZ added to the threat to our local Bittern (now protected). Lightroom is a good raw conversion program and includes defaults for noise reduction and sharpening that often need optimising for individual images, especially if you don't then do further work in PS.
