    Default Pintail Hen

I photographed this hen doing her flap last month. The light was nice and I was surprised to see her in a small retention pond nearby.

Good head turn, and nice light...but I wish said light was coming from behind you as this wouild have lit up the far wing and its' speculum. I'd give it a bit more room above, and perhaps a bit of CCW rotation. Still well done - a species I wish I had in my files :-(

Agree with Dan regarding light direction, CCW rotation and a little more room at the top. Lovely BG and feather details - very appealing image.

Certainly stands out against the BG, and ditto on the CCW. Still well captured Bonnie.

Good head angle in spite of the fact that the bird is angled a bit away from you. The near wing position is less than ideal; totally swept back would have been perfect. If you could have gotten right and more in front of the bird (difficult at best I know), that would have been great.
