Hi Art Good flight image Well exposed, sharp and lots of detail !! As presented would crop half way down the bottom from the bird, don't need that much foreground. Would like seeing the bird larger in frame !!! Beautiful bird !!! Your doing well !!!

Lovely and sharp, Art. I agree with Al's suggestion re crop. I would be tempted to crop from the top too to climate all the dark stuff in the BG

I just love all the Snowy images. I'd be tempted to crop on the top and the bottom as well....especially the top as that dark BG really does distract. Well done.

Hi Art, wonderful catch! I love the colors and light, also like the angle of the bird and the wings. Agree with the experts above that you have to get the bird in another place in the frame. The owls head is in dead center of the frame now. Would crop off the horizon on top, but I like the texture of the snow in the FG and the birds shadow, so I wouldn't crop the bottom. Also would crop off a little of the right and maybe add some on the left.
    Great work!

... which would make it look something like this. Sorry, couldn't resist trying it out. It's such a lovely image! Hope you don't mind.

No I don't mind at all Jerry, thanks for posting. I had thought about the crop for a while, and had actually cropped it to something similiar as yours, but in reading other threads, I often found that members said certain shots were too tight, and would like to see more room on the left, right etc., so my thoughts were to give the snowy more room all around, but I agree the BG is distracting. Thanks to everyone for the great comments.

The first thing I thought was "oh man... the BG is really hurting the image". Re-post works well.
