    Default Another Stellar

Another of the Stellar Sea Lions that I found hauled out on a rock in Puget Sound. This one appeared to be the dominant bull. He bullied around for awhile with the others on the rock and then got off and got in the water. This rock was about a hundred yards off shore--at low tide.

Great pose captured here, and the light is great! I agree with Al about maybe a slight crop, but again, that is just personal taste. Nice work!

    Bonnie,
Lovely pose, nice blue bg. From this angle, you got the guy on top of its world and on the backdrop of a nice blue background. Lot of details in the image. I would have liked some more sharpening in the eyes. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Bonnie,
Great pose, perch, BG, and light on this guy. I too could go for a little more off the bottom. I also might try lightening the shadow off his rump a bit.

Nice clean image. Really like the colors and the open mouth.

What a beauty! I agree with Al that a bit off the bottom might make it even stronger but this is really nice as presented. The colors and lighting are gorgeous!

    Bonnie,

I agree with the cropping suggestions and also suggest more sharpening. I downloaded and did the sharpening on BG copy at USM 175/0.3/0 1 time, USM 125/0.2/0 two times. Great work capturing the action, great light and great rock with a clean BG.
