still seems to be noise in BG- not a big crop and ran it thru noise reduction on cs4

Hi Denise - agree with Nr H and Gus - some NR on the BG. Big peanut for a little bird :)

Like the sharpness, right on exposure, and composition.
BTW I am amazed that northern cardinals take whole peanuts. Out here I feed whole peanuts to Steller's Jays and the jays are about a third larger than the cardinal. Nice idea for an image. I have lots of images of "jay with peanut", but nothing as striking and appealing as your image. Well done.

Gail, I put the peanuts out for the bluejays -this is the first peanut I ever saw the cardinal go for-BTW he left it! Go figure

Beautiful colours and sharp Denise. He must have been pretty hungry. Just some NR. Very nice!

I think you have a beautiful image. The colors are very natural and the BG does not seem to have all the noise the others are pointing out. At least not on my monitor.
    Congrats

Beautiful image and colours Denise! I'm also picking up a bit of noise on bg but not too much! What a mouthful to even attempt!:D
