    Tim,

Thanks for posting this impressive image.

I would suggest a levels correction and moving middle slider to lighten up the image overall.

I think the tight crop accentuates the antlers.

    Looking forward to seeing more.

    Tim,
    Welcome to BPN!
I found the shooting details: EOS 1DS Mark III, 1/250, f4, ISO 400, 600mm from your image. Please post these details in your future postings so that it will help people in understanding and commenting.

I like your image. Lovely backlight. You nailed the focus right. I love the looks and the overall composition. I worked on the image a bit to lighten it up. Look forward to further posts from you.
    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Welcome Tim... Powerful first post! He looks pissed! I really like the back light, the piece of grass hanging over one of the brow tines and I guess that's water he's just shaken off? Very power feel for me... I like Roberts suggestions about lightening it up a bit and Sabyasachi's repost.

    Beautiful image!

    Hi Guys.

Thanks for the advice and repost, I thought about dodging the antlers a little to bring them out, but resisted and wondered whether you'd pick me up on it :D

Nice image Tim. Impressive buck as well. Don't recall seeing any of these around Lincoln when I was stationed near there back in the early 90's ;). Maybe from down near London?

The repost looks very nice. Very impressive buck. Love the dark background and the rim lighting.
