I took this close up of a turtle dove from a blind in my backyard on a cold winter afternoon. The dove had puffed up its feathers to keep warm. I liked the texture in the breast so I made a couple images.

The image is nice. It's a bit tight in the frame. I would have backed off a little to put more room around the bird.

I have to agree too tight!

He looks like he's wrapped in a down blanket for sure! As mentioned, the bird is too tight in the frame and the composition is awkward. Since the fluffy breast feathers are what you wanted to capture, it would have been better to have more room in front of the bird and less of the body behind the neck and perhaps a bit more room on top.

It is tight but a pleasing image just the same.
