    Hi Folks:

Gina and I took Lee (Gina's sister from Bournemouth, UK) to see the "Rapture Free Flight" at the Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, AZ today. This little guy was one of the participants, and I got this shot when he was resting on his handler's arm. Desert Museum is a great place to see birds in their natural habitat, and we had a super day today ~ another place with great food, and free coffee for members. Yumms!

    CC's Welcome and always appreciated.

    Hi Folks:

OK,First redo was 2 clicks of new dodge in CS4 with "Protect skin tones" turned on to lighten eye. This one is 1 click, which is in between original and first redo, which I like.

    What eye do you like?

    Hi denise:

I did try other tools with QM, however, as they lightened they would get milky so I finally turned to the new Dodge tool at the size of the eye. I do like CS4, however, a couple of times when it seemed to balk, I would start it with holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift to go back to the default. I don't have enough stuff changed to worry about losing anything as "Define Brush Presets" remain.

I too didn't like the second eye.

Hi Gus, I love this portrait! Great colors on the bird, BG colors fit very nice with the subject. I like your second post best. I am distracted by the noise, however. It is especially obvious in the eye (and most disturbing, because it is the focus of attention), and I've got the impression it also interferes with the details in the feathers, which you have so nicely caught here. Why shot at ISO 400? At 1/1600 sec, I'm guessing you could have gotten this at ISO 100 or 200 as well without risk of motion blur. Nevertheless, great work!
