    Default Cooper's Hawk

    Here's an early morning hawk. I cloned out most of the bottom branch as it overpowered the bird. The tip of the tail is covered by what remains of the cloned branch. This is about a 50% crop.

    Very nice detail, especially for the crop. Some mighty bright light, but handled well. There's a bit of a sharpening halo around the dark edges of the branch.

    Great detail, Thomas. Just need to back off the sharpening a bit.

    I like the relaxed pose, sharp detail, and clean sky bg. The sidelighting created shadows on the bird and branch, but in this circumstance I doubt you could have moved to a position that would have provided frontal lighting because of the branch that obscured part of the tail.
