So I am sitting around the house while we are undergoing a furnace transplant. The HVAC guys showed up at 0800 and by 1000, I was already getting bored just sitting around. So I started playing with my camera gear and one thing led to another. I spotted one of my wife's plants in bloom, hauled it down and started shooting. Nothing fancy - no flash; no tripod. Here's what I came up with.

Canon 30D; Sigma 70mm Macro lens; handheld

    1/50 sec @ f/5.6; ISO 200: +1 EV

Nothing fancy - it's funny how those two words leave us with some of the very best images, isn't it?

The colors are beautiful Ed. I love the composition, also. I wish I could see a bit more of the yellow tip of the flower bloom but understand why you made the comp the way you did.

    It's lovely.

I like all the curves the petals have formed Ed, and lovely colours too. Well captured.

Hey Ed, very nice, I like the sharp details and great light. BG looks good also.
