My appologies for the lack of activity from my side....but I'm right in the middle of switching appartments...so I've been more active drilling holes in walls lately than pressing the shutter button.

This photograph was taken during the 2008 Pro-Tour...Since I wasn't able to work with a lot of mammals on my ranch I focussed on these rascals. And since we don't have these little fellows on this side of the pond I was very pleased that they were so cooperative. After a long day out in the field sat in this blind every night for a couple of hours to get the photographs I was after.

    Jasper,
I can imagine how close you were. Lovely. It seems the high ISO capabilities came in handy.

    Jasper,

I know that you had to do this with a flash and it did work out well but I am just not partial to these types of images. Again that is my personal taste, you did well getting it.

Jasper, I love the comp and pose with the eye contact and the open mouth as if it is talking to you. My only nit is that It seems over-lit to me (or your ISO was too high). Then again, I know this is inevitable for night photograph whereby you need to freeze motion and that creating an image at night is far from easy. Hence, thumbs up!

Btw I would love to see with my own eyes how the shadow areas hold up in your RAW capture at this ISO as here they look silky smooth...

Nice shot. I like the comp and the dark background.
