Sharp and great look at those impressive teeth !! Sure with the grass was not on the way and the eye was visible Do like it as presented !!! I like the precise focusing and overall clean feel !!!

    Tom,
I like the low angle, great depth of field and sharpness in this shot. When you go low, some grass/foreground elements are bound to interfere, as is the case here. I would have preferred if the brown sticks (or are they grasses?) not blocking the eye and the face. I like the whiskers.

    Hi Tom,

Nice one....I like those partial animal photographs. The angle of shooting and how the fur blends into the background really make this photograph. The foreground grass is somewhat distracting though. I think that it would have been much better with a more monotone background....now I'm a bit distracted by the brown and green....and I think the whiskers would stand out better against a single colored background.

    Tom,

I think this works very well except for the brown stalks coming in from the left.

Many thanks Alfred for your valued comments which are very much appreciated.

imo Its a question of what can is best achieved. Some earlier shots I had his eye but little to show for his teeth.

Many thanks Sabyasachi for your valued comments which, as always, are very much appreciated.

As you say for such a low angle shot grass was always effect the image. The brown sticks are also grass and unfortunately there were no volunteers to go into the enclosure to do some cosmetic gardening to remove them :D

The low shooting angle was always going to make any fg foliage to have an effect on the image. Interesting thought about a single coloured bg - will try a narrower DOF if I am able to shoot a similar scene.

The brown stalks are actually grass and there was no volunteer to go into the enclosure to do a little cosmetic gardening to remove them. :D
