Well following desmonds lead of "what was I thinking" not sure what this is or if I like it or not.

Anyways - could do with a bit more space around it.

the plant in front of the bird doesnt bother me. only the leaf that covers the birds beak and the black blob on the left on the shoreline. i love how the two plants frame the bird!! a very interesting and different composition that i like!!

    A lovely image Lance,
I like it as presented. The colors are very soft, almost a pastel feel to this. I love it. The leaf in front of your subject does not bother me, it shows natural habitat, and th reflection takes it over the top...congrats...

Got to like it Lance !!! Don't see many like it With something like this I would stick and work hard moving left/right, waiting to the bird to do something or walk out and wade. Very nice !!!!

Quite unique, Lance, eye-catching and very nice. I like Al's advice for an even better image.

    It was me again !?

I like the sharpness and the colors. I would prefer to see one with fewer plants though. Overall, it's a pleasing image I'd say.

As a side note, I think it was you, Lance, who brought it up sometime ago that in paintings, a lot of time they have more than just "bird-on-a-stick" ( a term I've learned from other photo forums used by non-bird photographers). I have to say that's my impression, too.

A great photo that would be admired on any mediam. However, I definitely agree that the black reflection takes away from it.
