    Hi Art

I like the eye contact and setting Well exposed and sharp Would like more room all around the bird particularly at the bottom for the virtual legs. Could lighten the bird a tad the increase contrast slightly There is also a cast which is easily corrected !!! Looking forward to more !!!

I would also suggest lightening the image, and dealing with the blueish color cast on the snow. I love the pose and eye contact.

Agree with Al's suggestions. Those eyes are incredible.

Great find and at 300mm. How much of a crop is this? I like the suggestions above and would add to sharpen the bird a bit more.

Very little crop, maybe 1/8 of the picture on the left side, I was within 15 feet of the Snowy. I thought I had sharpened enough, but when downsized for web, the picture comes out soft. Also, I tried to get rid of the blue colour cast, but wasn't able to because of the sun being warm and low on the horizon.

It's best to sharpen after resizing. If the original is RAW it should be easy to raise the color temperature a few degrees to remove the color cast.

Lovely eye contact, and I would give up a few things to have the opportunity to get an image of one of these guys. No snow in South Africa, well not where I live. Well captured Art.

Great shot but I agree that a looser crop would be more pleasing...nate
