    I do like the pose and the perch is alright too. Looks like this image is suffering from a heavy crop (loss of fine detail and very noisy), and the diagonal lines in your gradiant should go.

    I like the eye contact and agree regarding noise and lines in the BG. Was the original underexposed and did you dial in positive exposure compensation?
