I took this photo of a Mute Swan preening- Her head was upside down and her eye was horizontal-I thought it looked like a cool abstract-but then I decided to do a polar-coordinate and a touch of liquify .Let me know what you think.

Okay, I'm sure it's just me but this looks painful for the bird! Everything is aesthetically right but I just want to reach in there and pull the poor guy out!

    I know...I'm hopeless!

Denise: I like the concept, but am troubled by the swan. It almost looks like snake skin in the black area. However, I think you have mastered this technique. Maybe a different subject (not living). Or, liquifying it enough so it isn't obvious what is being wrung.

Julie, I know I couldn't help feeling that way too- but he was so contorted when I shot him-oh well back to work!

Joanna- the snake skin is actually his own skin around his foot! the second eye is his reflection. oh well!

Denise: I love the distort, polar, coordinates filter and I think you really did a great job on this (especially hiding the line). I just think that another subject (like your wonderful leaves) lends itself to it more. I am looking forward to seeing more of your experimenting!
