Beautiful shot Denise. Very sharp and detailed. Could be just my monitor, but I wish the BG was just a touch lighter to make the bird stand out a little more.

I like the photo a lot but it appears to have a blue cast to me.

Sharp eye William !!! There is a slight cast in the image Excellent pose and bg Appealing image Might take a little off the boom to do way with the lighter area by the left corner. Might need to clone part of it since you need room for the tail !!!

Re post only has color correction

Alfred, I didn't see the color cast. Is there a way to check for that? I usually shoot auto WB unless it's landscape-I don't add saturation unless it's really dull.

Hi Denise You could check with the eyedropper in PS, look for something neutral and the readings in all three channels should be very close. Do remember some images will be warm from the sun and you want that color.

Basically you see the cast just by looking, hard to explain, the image looked sort of cold and had the tint. Suppose color balancing prints for years had to do something to my brain :) ..... other than the effect of the fumes from chemicals :)

    Lady Denise,
I like the composition, image and capture...agree with Mr. Forns on the techs. My suggestion would be to clone in the lighter portion that is lighter on the fountain...congrats...well done...

Nice one Denise - love the bird. Good detail and sharp. I do Oom Gus' trick when faced with hilights like on the bath, paint it in with low opacity.
